Quizlet--Great way to engage students in vocabulary. Flash cards! I've created my first set of flash cards. Now I need to get students using them!
Flubaroo--a way to grade in google docs. scores can be emailed to email addresses scores. This is a script added to google doc. Must do for every google.doc
NearPod-Silver Edition has limited storage.
Can create a presentation in Keynote/Power Point and upload as a PDF. Able to add slides, Q & A, poll, quiz, video (quick time mp4), and draw it. This would be a teacher directed--small group (limited input devices). Send an email file with results.
Socrativ.com (no app necessary) This is device independent--just need the internet. Students can input answers using an iPod, iPad, Blackberry. Students log in using the room # given to the teacher. The teacher can create quiz. Students could go back to the iPads throughout the day, during centers, etc. and take the quiz. This would free the teacher from having to be right there. The teacher could be teaching a small group, while others are reading a passage and taking the quiz. Sounds pretty good--would like to try this one out--soon!
Aracdemic Skillbuilders--fun interactive activities that students could use to learn skills. Teacher can assign certain activities (games). Teacher has to have an account, input students--Arcademic will print the unsername/password sheet! This would be a great tool for students to practice and get quick feedback. Teachers can have access to what students are playing and results. Should look at place value games for those who have yet to master the skills.
There are so many great tools out there! I so want to use more of them. I just wish I had more time and energy to create the assessments. For this year, I am hoping to focus on math and how to utilize better assessment tools. I have Clickers down,
