A House or a Home? video
Story Board
As part of our digital storytelling class, we had to come up with a class action plan showing how to implement some of the storytelling tools learned in class. Since I will have access to several iPads, I decided to start small and have students create trailers. I feel this is a good starting point since the outline is there and students just need to plan their shots and some simple script. My Class Action Plan
iMovie Video Practice
Pipe Cleaner iMovie
Learning how to create a video on iMovie using my iPad was both exciting and frustrating. Getting to work with my wonderful teammates, create a storyboard, and take pictures was fun. Using the iPad was were problems began. There was no way to simply turn off the Ken Burn's effect. Having to start/stop each picture was time consuming. In addition, our pictures were taken in portrait mode. We didn't know we should have either rotated the pictures or taken pictures in landscape. I definitely can see how using iMovie would benefit students; however I would not have them create a "frame by frame" video. It was too difficult and frustrating using the iPad.

Comic Life
Exciting to be able to use Comic Life, Comic LIfe 2, and the Comic Life app for iPads. To the left is an All About Me! page using Comic Life. Below (in green) are three pages using Comic Life2. I am loving the new templates! Super fun. The camping pages were created using the Comic Life App on my iPad. Surprisingly, I found the iPad easy to navigate!
